How To Guide: Getting Your Employees to Engage on LinkedIn

By following these ten top tips, your employees will not only support your company’s LinkedIn strategy but also enhance their own professional reputation!

Follow the Company Page

It's a simple one to start really, but get them to follow your company’s LinkedIn page. This ensures they see new posts in their feed and stay updated.

Engage Quickly

Ask them to react to posts (like, celebrate, etc.) as soon as possible after they go live. Early engagement boosts visibility through LinkedIn’s algorithm.

Comment with Value

Consider asking them to add thoughtful, specific comments to posts. Share their own insights, ask questions, or explain why the post resonates with them. But avoid generic comments like "Great post!"

Share Strategically

Share company posts on their own personal profile with a custom caption. Ask them to highlight why the content is important or how it relates to their role, using 2 to 4 relevant hashtags.

Tag & Mention Others

When they comment or share posts, get them to tag colleagues, clients, or industry peers who might find the content valuable. This encourages them to engage and expands the post’s reach.

Respond to Comments

If someone comments on their shared post or the original company post, ask them to reply promptly and professionally to foster meaningful conversations.

Be Consistent

Get them to make it a habit to engage with company posts regularly. This keeps them visible in your network and strengthens the company’s presence.

Use Multimedia When Sharing

If applicable, they can enhance their own shared posts with relevant images, videos, or infographics to make them more engaging and visually appealing.

Join Discussions

Encourage them to participate in conversations in the comments section of your company posts or related industry topics to showcase their expertise and build relationships.

Personalise Your Engagement

They can tailor their comments and shares to reflect their own personal expertise and interests. Authentic interactions are more impactful and credible.

Getting your employees to engage with your company's LinkedIn posts boosts both the company’s visibility and their own personal brand as thought leaders, strengthens relationships with clients and prospects, and helps create a strong, unified presence for the company on LinkedIn.
